Sample questions with worked solutions
These short examples show the style of reasoning used in the simulator. They are illustrative and are not a full practice paper.
Sample 1. A neighbour asks why you missed yesterday’s meeting and when you can collect the notes.
Show answer and solution
I was working yesterday evening, so I missed the meeting. Could I collect the notes tomorrow morning?
The response explains the reason and completes the second request with a clear proposed time.
Sample 2. A caller says: Take the second bus and get off opposite the library. Where should you leave the bus?
Show answer and solution
I should get off opposite the library.
Identify the destination detail rather than repeating the bus number, which answers a different question.

Questions candidates ask
How is A2 different from A1?
A2 expects candidates to connect simple ideas and handle a wider range of routine exchanges, not only isolated personal facts.
Should answers be long?
They should be complete enough to communicate the requested information, but unnecessary detail can make delivery less clear.
Can this simulator certify A2?
No. It provides unofficial practice feedback only.
